Gerald Levert has another angel by his side. Sean Levert 39, the younger brother of R&B great singer Gerald Levert, died Sunday night while in jail. He was discovered in Cleveland, Ohio jail over the weekend where he was being held there for not paying over $80,000 in back child support. Levert died at 11:57 p.m. at Lutheran Hospital after he was transported from jail. Sean and the late Gerald, who died November 10, 2006 at the age of 40, were members of the R&B group LeVert with Marc Gordon. These were a force to be reckoned with back in the day.

My heart goes out to the Levert family.

I hear wedding bells! Its official guys. The world MUST know! Convicted felon/rapper Remy Ma and rapper Papoose are to wed this week while Remy is in jail.

In a interview with MTV.com Papoose explains why they have denied previous rumors regarding their relationship and whats in store for them now:

“We always wanted to keep our personal lives personal, so that’s why we never went public with our relationship,” he wrote in an e-mail to MTV News. “Right now, I just feel like she gotta live through me. Yes, we were scheduled to be married on a yacht April 27th. But due to circumstances beyond our control, we are now making arrangements to be married in prison.”

To those who give a damn must know that Remy Ma aka Reminisce Smith was convicted of gun charges last week for shooting a former friend in the abdomen over stolen money. Last week a jury of 12 men and women convicted Remy who now faces up to 25 years in prison. Wait there’s more. Remy Ma was so shocked and devastated by the conviction that she didn’t think to mention to her eight year old son that she may be going away for a very long time. The judge didn’t pity her either. Remy was not granted time to prepare her child or assets after the verdict. Remy was taken to a cell without a chance for a proper goodbye to her family and friends.  

Although at first I felt no compassion for this woman I don’t agree with the judges decision in not allowing her time to deal with her personal matters at home. A mother is a child’s everything and to take her away without a proper warning or goodbye from her child is horrible. This system is flawed to no end. Yes she should be punished for her crime but is it necessary for certain actions to be taken? I am unsure. I know how it feels to have a parent taken away from you at such a early age. This needs to be rectified or someone will receive some bad karma there way pretty damn soon.

This past Friday night Shaq celebrated his 36th birthday in “Body,” a new nightclub in Harlem New York.  There were a plethora of Celebes wanabes in attendance such as Charlie Baltimore, Doug E. Fresh, and Stephen A. Smith fro, ESPN.  

Although those names may ring bells (doubt it), it was the appearance of mystery women on Shaq’s arm the entire night. According to party goers this new filly is Shaq’s current flame aiming for a place in his oversized heart. She has a nice body, cute short hair cute, and some height on her. She might just be the woman to replace the void Shaunie had left in Shaq’s heart and home.

She’s cute in a pit bull kind of way and I mean that with the utmost respect. She looks like she is trying to get in the pictures a little too hard.

Why, why, why? Why is it that Tameka Foster, Usher’s newly trained pit bull wife is trying to make a deal with Essence magazine for pictures of her new baby boy, Usher IV with Usher? According to Mediatakeout.com Foster is playing hard ball is asking for $2 million for the new baby pictures.

Mediatakeout.com insider said:

“[Tameka] has been actively negotiating to get top dollar for the photos. Usually we deal with agencies or lawyers, but Tameka’s handling it herself - and she’s definitely playing hardball.”

This grinds my nerves. She is annoying as hell to look at I can’t imagine how it must feel to actually speak to her. I pray for the baby and Usher as well because he done married Debbie from the Adams family!

Famed boxer Mohammed Ali’s daughter is finally coming full circle. World Champion boxer Laila Ali recently gained two great gifts; a husband in NFL player Curtis Conway and a pregnancy. Featured on the new issue of Essence magazine, Laila speaks of her marriage and excitement over her pregnancy.

It appears we have another rapper facing prison time. Female rapper Remy Ma was found guilty of assault after “accidently” shooting her former friend in the abdomen after an argument over Remy Ma’s missing money. Remy Ma faces up to 25-years in jail.
